Our Priorities

Our relationship with God and the relationships we share together will last forever. Therefore, cultivating each of these relationships is our highest priority. The ministry of The Pointe Church is focused on helping people to develop and grow in three vital relationship areas of our lives:  relationship with God, relationship with His People, and relationship with His Work.

Our goal is to see people…

Connect to God (Worship)

The highest priority for The Pointe Church is to help people connect with God in worship. Worship is more than what we do for an hour on Sunday mornings. Worship is to be a way of life. True worship means living life for God and receiving God’s gift of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.

Jesus replied: ” ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. Matthew 22:37-38

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6

If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. Romans 10:9-10

Connect to God’s People (Love)

When a person places his or her faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior, that person is then spiritually united with all other Christians in a bond of true love. They are part of the church, which is a true “fellowship.” It is imperative that believers discover their proper place in the church. Each person plays a vital role in the function of the church body and the body grows as each does his part. Furthermore, our involvement in the church leads to our own spiritual growth.

By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. John 13:35

And now God is building you, as living stones, into his spiritual temple. 1 Pet 2:5

The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ… you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. 1 Corinthians 12:12-27

You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:26-28

Connect to God’s Work (Serve)

It is when we learn to serve others in Jesus’ name that we begin to experience the fullness of life. Serving others is the antidote to our self-centered, sinful nature and the emptiness that it brings to our hearts. By taking on the attitude and the conduct of a servant, a person gains insight into the depth of the love that God has for us in Christ Jesus. We represent Jesus and provide an open door through which the gospel message may be delivered. We also experience a greater level of personal joy and satisfaction as a direct result of serving others. A believer is never more like Jesus than when serving others in His name.

“You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:14-16

“whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Mark 10:43-45

For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10

Though I am free and belong to no man, I make myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. 1 Corinthians 9:19
