  • Nov 2018

The Pointe obtained its permanent building in Hickory Flat, GA and began the outward focus initiative to promote and partner with local businesses and organizations.

The Pointe began with a God-given desire to build a church for the unchurched. In February 2004, Brian and Kristie Jones surrendered to God’s call to plant The Pointe in Cherokee County. Beginning with a small group of 25 people in their home, the Jones’ began weekly Bible studies and Sunday gatherings. The Pointe expanded with the addition of the Kidstuf ministry at Zoomtown Skating rink in Holly Springs in the fall of 2004.

In January 2005, Coke and popcorn packages were delivered to over 2,500 homes in preparation for The Pointe’s first Sunday morning worship service at Zoomtown. Since then, The Pointe has worshiped in many locations across the county with the aim of reaching people in every part of our community.

In Fall of 2018, The Pointe Church was blessed with the opportunity to serve those in Hickory Flat, Georgia. To date, The Pointe meets each Sunday, at 11 AM, bringing glory to God through new community initiatives and growing student ministries.

God has miraculously provided everything for this to take place. The most amazing aspect is how the Lord has brought together the people to share a common purpose; each with specific gifts and abilities needed for the church to grow.

The Aim

The Pointe seeks to provide a place for anyone to belong, learn about God, feel his love, and see how he works in every person’s life.
